Hello, welcome to my online portfolio. I’ve worked for several public radio organizations, including Rhode Island Public Radio, Minnesota Public Radio, National Public Radio, and APM’s Marketplace, in various roles: multimedia reporter, producer, researcher, production and editorial assistant, freelancer and intern. Some of my best work lives here.
I hold many identities – immigrant, Salvadorian-American, naturalist and science communicator, audio producer, among others. These identities influence the kind of storyteller I am. I love to tell stories about resilience and adaptability – in people and in the natural world. I also love to tell stories that hold powerful people and systems to account. My stories aim to inform, engage and inspire awe, wonder and curiosity.
Outside of work, I knit, hike, dote on my cats and backyard birds, tend to my pollinator garden, and spend time with family and friends. Thank you for visiting.
